1-23-07 One-Stop Business & Employment Center, Marion
Over 60 businesses participated in the Employment Opportunity Fair held at the Marion One-Stop Business and Employment Center. Although this event was aimed at dislocated workers such as those formerly employed by Maytag/Whirlpool, Orpack-Stone, Archway, and others, anyone searching for a job was welcome. As a result, over 1,100 job seekers were in attendance at this event! The job fair was held to create awareness of opportunities that were available, and to provide knowledge of what a job seeker needs to take advantage of those opportunities.
