College Prep Days workshops were held at the Marion Family Opportunity Center/One-Stop Business & Employment Center from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 24, May 8, and May 29, 2007, and at the Duquoin Family Opportunity Center on May 1, and May 22, 2007. These workshops were designed to give Man-Tra-Con customers affected by trade-impacted mass lay offs the opportunity to complete all of their pre-training requirements in one day and get all of their questions answered by college representatives.

Activities included:  College 101 Workshops, Study Skills Workshops, Transition Finance Workshops, Computer Basics Workshops, Internet Tools Workshops, FAFSA Assistance, College Representatives to Answer Questions, Meet With Your TAA Career Specialist, Practice Keyboarding,
Resume Assistance, Skills and Interest Evaluations and Transcript Reviews.
