It is our pleasure to introduce Economic Scenario, Southern Illinois'
first economic model for calculating the gross domestic product of rural
counties or economic regions. We are the first region in the country to
have a tool that can measure and forecast economic performance by
industry sector at the county level.
Economic Scenario can be used by southern Illinois community leaders to
benchmark the current economic state of their county or region and
forecast the future impact of economic and community development
strategies over five years.
